CIV Mugello 10.-11.10.2009

The last race of the Italian Championship CIV was held in Mugello circuit. For Míra it meant another important step in getting known the motorcycle and the circuit in Mugello; as well as gaining valuable experiences. On Friday in getting known trainings got Míra his best time of 2.O4 xxx. If taking into an account, that in Mugello it is a very difficult circuit with many sharp and long curves, uphill and downhill rides. Also the fact, that in the race the riders are achieving times around 2.02. So his time was a piece of success for us. Míra was looking forward to Saturday´s qualification; he was ready to fight some tenths. It was such a surprise in Sunday morning, the rain and wet circuit. The first qualification training was announced as a wet race, we had to set the motorcycle sufficiently and add some additional equipment for wet races and try it. Míra was around 20th place during the first laps, when he started to push the time lower, finally he received 7th place, which was very satisfactory. The circuit got dry till the second training started, we set the motorcycle back to its original setting and let Míra into the qualification. After the first two laps Míra stopped in the box and asked to set better the shock absorbers, which did not suit to him. Unfortunately after this stop, he had ridden only two laps, when reached the group of riders, which he wanted to over take from outside. This manoeuvre took him outside the rail into the grass. The grass was unfortunately wet and slippery and Míra got a high slider. Míra spent the rest of the day in the medical centre. Doctors found out that he has broken his little finger, he got gypsum. This was such a pitiful goodbye to a Mugello circuit. This season is so unfortunate for Míra, full of technical problems and at the end with a wound as well. The last two races are awaiting Míra in November in Spain, so we hope for a better result.
