1st race Magione Aprilia 125 GP 17-19.7.2009

Mira´s debut on Aprilia 125 GP came out on a well known race course in Magione, Perugia. The Friday´s training was very fast, Míra got close to the course record only 0.5 sec. behind. Mira was very motivated to the last Friday´s training, unfortunately in one of the fastest curves Mira got the highslider and fell down, rolling out into the cowlick. His fall did not look very good from the roof of the box, fortunately Míra managed his flight and fall without any injury. He wanted to continue with the training but his motorcycle was not in a such good shape as he was himself. Míra was looking forward to the Saturday´s qualifications. The first Sarurday´s qualification was on the wet course, Míra finished on the second place by 0.4 sec behind, his team was very pleased with this result and happy for the rest of the day. In the second qualification Míra got faster and finished on the first place and in a good condition exceeded the course record by 0.2 sec. Honestly, we were surprised by this time,which assured him the Pole position. Míra got nervous during the start of the race on Sunday. He did not manage the start at all and was leaving the starting grid as the last. He was chasing the riders and finally overtook all of them and as a leader he kept his fast time and finally was waved with the chessboard flag 13 secs ahead of the second rider. Míra enjoyed the awarding ceremony and received a huge applause from the Italian and Spanish fans. Míra could not imagine a better debut; he was so pleased during his journey back home.
